Masks

My first initial design was a joker because I really liked the idea of creating a headpiece. To start off i had a mask and covered it in cling film, I  then went onto the task of putting paper mache  I found the process of creating my mask very easy because my imagination with the mask was fantastic. I found it hard to endure the 8 layers of paper mache which was needed for my mask to be successful. Furthermore I then went on to paint the headpiece red and yellow. It turned out very vibrant, also i went on to incorporate sequins onto the cheeks of the mask. The overall decorating of the mask a simple task. I feel my design came out exactly as planned, it had various strengths and weakness's. One of the strengths was that the colour's complemented themselves brilliantly. One of the weakness's was that the overall product I had made still showed signs of rugged paper around the sides. If i had a chance to make  my mask again i would try to differ the smoothness and texture of he way the paper mache was placed on. Throughout the whole process i thoroughly enjoyed the designing of the mask which i am very proud of.
